While it was known to all that the much ambitious Phantom Films was undergoing several internal issues, its shutdown rather came across as a sudden development. Anurag Kashyap, who was deeply affected by his partner Vikas Bahl being accused in a case of sexual harassment, took a kind of break. This was also the time the production was working on Bahl's Super 30, but lead actor Hrithik Roshan took a strong stand and said he would not work with a proven offender and the makers should take a harsh stand, if necessary.
The last time Kashyap worked on a film was Phantom's Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, which he co-scripted with director Vikramaditya Motwane. But the good news is, he is back. Kashyap has now teamed with producer Nikhil Dwivedi for his next which will be a homage to Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill series which featured Uma Thurman in the lead. Kashyap is also writing the script for the same. We hear an A-lister actress has been finalised for the lead and will be disclosed soon.
Nikhil, who earlier produced Veere Di Wedding, intended to make a woman-centric film every year. Knowing that an actress is roped in, we assume this is going to be a film with a strong female protagonist. The film will start rolling in mid-2019 and is believed to be shot across Mumbai, Japan, Bhutan, and Sikkim.
