Time flies. It was only yesterday that Arjun Kapoor had impressed everybody with his fat to fit story and a performance to match at the box office. He starred in YRF's, Habib Faisal directed, Ishaqzaade in 2012 and has been the lead on 8 more films since then. It was only natural then that Kapoor went back to the banner for his tenth film. The 2 States star is set to play a young policeman for Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and dropped the first look on the internet on Tuesday.

However, while the star was careful enough to blur the name tag in his tweet, we did chance upon another picture that shows the name clearly. Arjun it seems will be playing a character called Satinder Dahiya. A constable in the Delhi Police.
Playing a Delhi Police or Dilli Police constable means that Kapoor is most likely to speak in Haryanvi. He had inspired a lot of memes with his Bihari accent in Half Girlfriend earlier this year, we wonder what new memes he'll inspire this time. But having said that this is also Dibakar Bannerjee's first film in years. The last time we saw the ace director was when he directed Detective Byomkesh Bakshy in 2015. Born and brought up in Delhi, Dibakar is very close to the fabric of the city. Films like Khosla Ka Ghosla and Oye Lucky Luck Oye are testaments to his unique understanding of the city and it's people.
In an interview recently Arjun said, “More than becoming the character, Dibakar wanted me to understand the world the character comes from. He wanted me to get embedded in that world. I also wanted to understand the character’s entire journey — from the time he was seven or eight years old till he is about 30. I wanted to know his psychology and why he is the way he is, and why he makes certain extreme choices.”
The movie is slated to release on August 18, 2018. But the question remains. Who plays Sandeep and Pinky in the film? And will Arjun and Parineeti be romantically paired in this one.
