A lawsuit was reportedly filed against actor Arjun Rampal as he failed to repay back a loan of Rs 1 crore to YT entertainment. He had, reportedly, borrowed it from the company in May 2018 and was supposed to pay it back to them within the next 90 days with an interest of 12% per annum. Rampal also issued them a post-dated cheque which bounced when the company tried to withdraw the money. Following this, they filed a complaint against the actor in October 2018.
He soon received a legal notice and was instructed to pay back the entire amount along with interest within the next two weeks. However, he again failed to pay and faced a criminal complaint. In November, he deposited Rs 7.5 lakh but was subjected to a commercial suit as YT Entertainment aimed to recover the entire amount, reports HT. The lawsuit was filed through solicitor Aurup Dasgupta.

“The issue has been cleared and the transaction has happened,” Rampal told the publication. He added that he would clear the air at the time of the hearing at the court.
Dasgupta, however, dismissed the claims, saying they hadn't received any more money after the 7.5 lakh paid in November.
