Before Anushka Sharma's Pari, the pretty faces that turned heads, literally!

Beautiful, innocent, child-like, bubbly, vulnerable, ethereal: there are a number of ways one can describe Anushka Sharma. A reason perhaps why the first teaser of her latest film Pari is so disturbing. Ever since the release of the first poster of the film on July 10, 2017, Nush has been preparing us for her first horror flick. We must say that she has succeeded so far. Revathi

If you grew up in the 90s, chances are that you came across Ram Gopal Varma’s Raat. A film that starred South actress Ravathi and is perhaps the scariest Hindi film produced till date. Vidya Balan

Another leading lady to experiment with the genre fairly earlier in her career was Vidya Balan who gave us the very entertaining psychological thriller Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The official remake of the 1993 Malayalam film, Manichitrathazhu, starring Mohanlal and Shobana, Bhool Bhulaiyaa was set up as a horror flick but later turned out to be one of the finest thrillers that Bollywood had ever remade. Vidya’s Manjulika is still one of her finest performances till date.
