Bharat: Katrina Kaif reveals she received no call from Salman Khan for the role
Just in case you thought Salman Khan was the one who brought Katrina Kaif on board for Bharat, you were wrong!
After the smashing success of Tiger Zinda Hai, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are to reunite for Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat. As we all know, the film first went to Priyanka Chopra who backed out owing to her marriage with Nick Jonas (although reports suggested she was signing a bigger project in the West). Next was Katrina. Salman and Katrina's chemistry is always a hit and fans were pleased. Many, in fact, thought it was Salman who suggested her name.
It turns out that's not true! She recently appeared on an episode of Famously Filmfare, Katrina revealed she had no conversations whatsoever with Salman regarding Bharat. "Salman didn't call me at all. He didn't say a word. And this is the truth," she said, laughing. In fact, we hear, he didn't buzz her even after she signed the film. "Even when I signed the film, he did not call me. When I went for the first day on sets, he just looked at me and said, 'Katrina'. I'm like... okay, fine! He is unpredictable which is why every moment with him is fascinating. There is never a dull moment with Salman," she said.
