While female actors of Bollywood usually want to go all glam and stunning for their debuts, Bhumi Pednekar certainly had different plans in mind. She set her footstep into Hindi cinema with Dum Laga Ke Haisha, a slice of life film opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, who was definitely not a star back then. Furthermore, Bhumi wore her most de-glam avatar, being the overweight, unhappy wife that she was, in the film. Everyone predicted a performer in her, and it came true!
On Wednesday, the film completed four years since its release. It must have been a special feeling for the actor, who took to social media to share a video. It is a compilation of many stills from the film, revisiting the beautiful love story that they painted. "4 years & 30 kgs ago, my dream came true in the maddest possible way with Dum Laga Ke Haisha," she wrote. A number of times, she has opened up on how she had to gain weight in order to fit into the role. Later, losing it demanded just as much hard work!
