Bhumi-Sushant starrer to go on floors in January 2018
2017 had been really good for Bhumi Pednekar so far. This time the Shubh Mangal Savdhan girl is all set to romance Sushant Singh Rajput in her upcoming film directed by Abhishek Chaubey. It has been tentatively titled Sone Chiriya and based on Chambal dacoits and will go on floors early next year. Apparently, both the lead actors will be seen playing dacoits in the film that is based in the 70s.
A source observing the film's proceedings told BollywoodLife that, "We are having script reading sessions for the whole team. Prep is on in full swing. The film is high on emotions and drama. There is a love story as well. We will start shoot from January 10, 2018."
It is for the first time that Bhumi and Sushant will be sharing the screen together. Bhoomi in an earlier interview has expressed her excitement over the film. "I am very excited to play this character. It is a challenging script and film," she had said.
In the same interview the Dum Laga Ke Haisha girl had said, "Sushant is the main lead in the film and he is such a phenomenal actor. So, I am really excited to see how everything unfolds."
Abhishek Chaubey is known for bringing the dark and gritty side of small-town stories. Two of his films that release last year, Udta Punjab and A Death in the Gunj received both critical and commercial success. Well, it'll be exciting to see the fresh pair working under him.
