Amidst the season of biopics, the next in line is the biopic of PM Narendra Modi. It will chronicle the story of NaMo, from his journey as a tea-seller to grabbing the seat of the Prime Minister. The titular role will be played by Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and the makers have kept the buzz going by revealing one character after another. The latest addition to the star cast is Boman Irani.
The 59-year-old will essay the role of business tycoon Ratan Tata in the biopic and reportedly joined the film’s team in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Talking about how he said yes for the role, he said, “I have always received comments on social media that I resemble Mr Ratan Tata. I always thought the day the character comes along, I will be more than happy to play it. So when Omung, Sandip and Vivek called me for the role, I immediately agreed to do it. We have already shot my part and it went very well.”
Further speaking of co-actor Vivek, he mentioned that the actor has worked his part ‘with great maturity and homework’.
Besides Boman, other actors part of the ensemble cast includes Barkha Bisht as PM Modi’s wife, Zarina Wahab as Heeraben Modi and Prashant Narayanan as Aditya Reddy among others.
