It’s time for Kapil Sharma’s fans to rejoice as the biggest comedian in the country is coming back on Sony TV after a long break. The brand new show will reportedly be a game show with comedy elements featuring many old members of The Kapil Sharma Show except Sunil Grover. The idea is based on The Hollywood Squares, as per some media reports.
The teaser is out and it seems like a fresh beginning for Kapil. The laughter king even pokes fun at himself in the 30-second promo as the automatic rickshaw driver questions his unemployment!
Kapil Sharma even took to Twitter to seek wishes from his fans.
His fans too were excited and expressed their joy on social media.
The Kapil Sharma Show discontinued shortly after the frontman's fight with his co-performer Sunil Grover. 2017 was a tough year for Kapil Sharma as he suffered multiple health issues like depression, low blood pressure and anxiety. His last film Firangi also tanked at the box office. He even confessed that he became an alcoholic to struggle with his mental health. Eventually he ended up in a deaddiction centre in Bengaluru.
"With Kapil now fit and fine, he is raring to go, and entertain his audience in his own inimitable style. The show is expected to launch by end of March," a source told Indian Express.
In an interview earlier, Kapil had said, "I am deeply touched by the warmth and love the audience has showered on us over the years. It’s their belief and undying devotion that encourages us to continue to reinvent ourselves and bring smiles to every household week on week. I am grateful to Sony Entertainment Channel for believing in me and our show and supporting us in creating and bringing unlimited entertainment to every household every weekend."
