Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in a cameo appearance in the blockbuster Simmba, is now all set to rule 2019 with his upcoming Kesari. The film is a period war drama which also stars Parineeti Chopra opposite Akshay in the film and is based on one of the bravest battles that India ever fought – the Battle of Saragarhi. Just a couple of days ahead of the film’s release, both Akshay and producer Karan Johar treated fans with a making video of the film.
The clip starts with a mind-blowing action sequence of the movie and it is carried forward with Akshay sharing his experience of doing the film. He shares that he has the ‘best time doing action’ for Kesari because they were very ‘raw’. He added that the premise of the film ‘swells his chest with pride’. Further talking about the film, he said, “It is a story about the courage of 21 Sikh soldiers who fought against 10000 invaders to defend their honour. The film also salutes the never-give-up attitude the Sikhs have.”

While sharing his post, Akshay captioned it saying that the film kept him more than active.
Earlier, Parineeti, too, spoke about the film and spilled the beans on her role saying, “It's very cool love story that is woven into the story of the battle. I have a very small role in the film, but it is one of those films that I wanted to be a part of."
"It was one of those films where I didn't think about what is my screen-time,” she added.
Helmed by Anurag Sinha, the film hits the theatres on March 21.
