Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone received a lot of love and appreciation from audience and critics alike for her splendid performance in Padmaavat. The movie is close to Deepika Padukone's heart for several reasons. The magnum opus, which crossed the Rs 300-crore mark at the box office, happens to be her third film with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.
The major highlight of the film was the Jauhar scene, which reportedly was the most difficult part for the actress. The scene is apparently so close to her heart that the actress recently reached out to SLB requesting him to give her the outfit she had worn for the climax scene. The actress wants to treasure it for life owing to the sentimental values attached during the filming.
Speaking about the same, Deepika reportedly said, “Padmaavat, in its entirety, has been a journey that will stay with me forever. The climax sequence, especially, has been the most intense, challenging and memorable scene I have ever done. And to commemorate those moments, I've requested Sanjay sir if I could keep the outfit that I wore.”
Deepika Padukone, who is the first actress to shoulder a Rs 300-crore film, is undoubtedly the reigning queen of Bollywood. She is also one of the highest-paid actresses in the Hindi film industry today.
