Deepika Padukone joins the entrepreneurial bandwagon, invests in Yoghurt company
From today, Deepika Padukone can well be called 'Dahi'pika Padukone. No, we aren't doing her naam karan ceremony, just getting her in-sync with the business she is dealing in. We have learnt that the leggy lass has invested in a company that produces Greek yoghurt. If reports are to be believed, Deepika Padukone has invested in a company called Drum Foods International Pvt Ltd, one that produces flavoured Yoghurt under the brand name Epigamia. Deepika has not just invested in this company but is also expected to be the brand ambassador.
LiveMint quotes Drum Foods co-founder Rohan Mirchandani as saying, "Her (Padukone’s) involvement will accelerate the pace of reach for our products." It is being said that Deepika made this investment via her company KA Enterprises Llp. This investment comes across as a strategic move after her husband Ranveer Singh too turned an entrepreneur with his record label called IncInk. It was in the month of March that Ranveer collaborated with Navzar Iranee and established the company to create a platform for rappers in India to showcase their talent. Pati and Patni seem to be all game for investing in businesses.

You take the blue pill—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe 🔵 You take the red pill—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes 🔴 Remember: all I'm offering is the truth. @neranee @incinkrecords
Meanwhile, these two are not the first ones to divert a little from Bollywood and invest in businesses that are unconventional to them. Priyanka Chopra recently invested in a dating-app called Bumble. Likewise, Suniel Shetty owns a club in Mumbai called Club H20 and has investments in a fitness startup called Squats. Other stars like Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Shah Rukh Khan have IPL teams apart from other ventures. SRK has Red Chillies that deals in VFX and animation while Shilpa Shetty also has a fitness app.
After all, it's all about the money honey!
