Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike got a lot of people talking and the phrase ‘How’s the josh?’ has been on the lips of every moviegoer since then. The frenzy reached a point that Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman too noticed it. Along with a group of veterans, Sitharaman headed to the Central Spirit Mall at Bellandur, Bangalore to watch the much-loved film. The minister recorded every bit of her trip from walking into the theatre to being inside and even shouting ‘How’s the josh?’
Sitharaman and her crew were high on josh as they watched the action-packed thriller. She wasted no time in tweeting a video of the entire auditorium chanting the catchy tagline. She even tagged actors Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and the film's director Aditya Dhar and producer Ronnie Screwvala. Dhar replied to her tweet, thanking her for her support. He even insisted that she wait till the end of the credits as there’s a ‘small scene which not many people know about!’ Ronnie Screwvala too replied to Sitharaman and asked her for her verdict.
On January 16, Sitharaman met the cast and crew of the film on the occasion of Army Day. Uri: The Surgical Strike is a film on the Indian Army’s heroics following a terrorist attack in Uri which claimed the lives of 17 army personnel.
