DJ Diplo says ‘Mera Time Bhi Ayega,’ but will it really?

Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film, Gully Boy is getting a lot of attention. The film has not only gathered a lot of anticipation in India, but the western world is also going gaga over it. Don’t believe it? Here’s some proof. The Berlin International Film Festival will be screening Gully Boy and two of the shows are already sold out. Want more proof? So here it is. DJ Diplo shared a morphed pic of himself on the poster of Gully Boy. He even captioned, Mera Time Bhi Ayega in Hindi, and added the words Random White Boy to the poster.

Diplo, as we all know has worked previously in Bollywood. Diplo was active in working on Jab Harry Met Sejal. The film was directed by Imtiaz Ali and starred Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. However, the film was a critical disaster. So when Diplo says ‘Mera Time Bhi Ayega’, (my time will come), we are a little doubtful. Gully Boy is loosely based on the life of street rappers and Ranveer Singh has voiced Apna Time Ayega. That rap song is arguably doing a lot better than Diplo’s venture in Bollywood. Just saying.

Besides Ranveer, Gully Boy also stars Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Raaz, Amruta Subhash and Vijay Verma. The film is produced by Excel Entertainment, a company co-owned by Farhan Akhtar.
