Dream Girl: Nushrat Bharucha to revisit her college days for her and Ayushmann Khurrana's film
Nushrat Bharucha rose to popularity with Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 but Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, alongside Kartik Aaryan and Sunny Singh, is her biggest success so far. Moving on, Nushrat Bharucha will be seen paired opposite the man of the hour Ayusmann Khurrana in his next venture Dream Girl. The romantic comedy will be directed by debutant Raaj Shaandilyaa, who earlier wrote films like Freaky Ali and Happy New Year among others.
Nushrat, in the film, will be playing a college student from Mathura who studies Home Science, reports Bangalore Mirror. We hear she is ditching her usual glam look for a more girl-next-door avatar and will don a rather desi look. “She will also be speaking in a Braj accent,” a source informed the publication. The report also states that the film's shooting has been wrapped up, apart from one promotional track that is yet to be filmed. Apart from featuring Ayushmann Khurrana in a female avatar who will also try new things with his voice, Dream Girl will also star Anu Kapoor and Manjot Singh.

Earlier, Ayushmann had interesting things to give away, about his character in Dream Girl. “Dream Girl is really unique, really interesting because I get to wear a saree in the film. It’s about a guy who plays Sita in Ram Leela. Traditionally, in our country we have all seen guys playing Sita, so I’m one of those. He has the unique talent of taking out voices of both male and female. It’s like a full on commercial film,” he told Bollywood Hungama during an interview.
The film is set to release on 13th September 2019.
