The first trailer for Dwayne Johnson’s 2018 release Rampage is released and it’s a combination of the typical Rock action movies and his world-saving mission. The actor has risen from the darling of WWE to the darling of cinema audiences globally but has been unable to experiment with the acting capabilities.
Dwayne Johnson’s Rampage shows nothing can stop him not even giant monsters. The movie is based on an arcade game of the same name. Johnson plays the character of an animal lover. When his friend, a gorilla named George, is taken away by science fanatics to conduct genetic experiments, which eventually end up awry. Exposed to a meteor, George has grown at a rapid rate. The Rock ventures into an action-packed rescue mission to save the state and its people and make things right again.
Rampage is a tried and tested genre for Dwayne Johnson and looks largely like many of his previous releases where he is saving the world or the country from being shattered. His first attempt was in 2013, with G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Honestly, the movie failed to impress the audiences and the box office garnering just $375 million.
Being cast as Luke Hobbs in the Fast & Furious 5, Johnson has done 4 movies in the franchise to date. In too-many-to-count movies, the actor has played the savior, on a mission to save his friends, country or the world from terrorists or international criminals.
Now the star waits for the big release of 2017, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which is a reboot to the 1995 original release with the same name. While the film will see him lost in the world of exotic wild creatures, we cannot wait to see who he’s going to save in this one.
