The actor has seen reasonable success in his career but it’s not been a smooth journey for the star. Despite his serial kisser image and fair amount of success in Bollywood, the actor’s tragedy with regards to his son Ayan has haunted him. Emraan’s 8-year-old son has suffered from Cancer and Emraan along with his wife Parveen fought hard to bring him out of the deadly disease at an early stage. The actor has chronicled his experience in a book titled The Kiss of Life: How A Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer.
Some superheros don't wear capes. Proud to be this one's father . Happy fathers day !!
When Emraan was asked about the same, he had shared, “It didn’t anyway, in any way make any sense for us because there was no warning sign, there was no accompanying fever, there was no physical discomfort. There was only one thing that we missed as parents and that was a tumour that had grown on the left side was, there was a bump here and went unnoticed.”
He had further said, “We thought it (a tumour) was putting on weight and I think the first thing we felt was a feeling of guilt. He was 3 years 10 months then and we’ve made the choices for this kid and where did we go wrong?”
Film critics often consider Emraan among the most underrated performers in the Hindi film industry. The actor started his career with 2003 film Footpath and eventually acted in Murder in 2004, from which he came to be known as the ‘serial kisser’ of Bollywood. Considered to be one of the moderately popular actors in Bollywood today, Emraan Hashmi managed to mesmerize his fans with his performances in the films like Shanghai, The Dirty Picture, Azhar, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai and Raja Natwarlal.
Emraan will be next seen in Soumik Sen directed Cheat India for which shooting begins in July and the film is slated to release on January 25, 2019. The film will take a critical look at the crimes in India’s education system.
