Sushant Singh Rajput turns a year older today. He started his acting career on small screen. While many believe that Pavitra Rishta was the actor’s debut, Sushant first appeared on television in 2008 show, Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, which featured Harshad Chopda and Additi Gupta. Sushant’s big break was Ekta Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta, where the actor met his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande. The duo worked on the soap for five years after which SSR moved to Bollywood. The actor prepared early on for his acting career by coaching under Barry John and learned dance from Shiamak Davar.
Sushant’s Hindi film debut, Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che earned the actor a lot of praise. He was amongst the few small screen heroes, who succeeded in the movies. Singh had under his belt box office hits like Rajkumar Hirani’s PK, where the actor had a small part to play and of course MS Dhoni – The Untold Story, a biopic that earned the actor his first solo blockbuster. The actor continues to experiment and pick some real risky projects. He has Tarun Mansukhani directorial Drive with Jacqueline Fernandes, Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya with Bhumi Pednekar and Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore with Shraddha Kapoor.
While Sushant has achieved great success in the movie business, looking at the actor’s other talents here are careers that SSR could totally rock.
The actor made appearances on stage in the early stages of his career. In fact, Sushant also participated in dance reality shows and was a runner up on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4. Sushant is not just a great dancer, but an obsessive fitness junkie. One often gets a glimpse of the tough work out sessions that the actor indulges in on his Instagram. Who wouldn’t want to enroll with a trainer who’s as hot and inspiring as SSR?
For those of you who do not know, the Chanda Mama Door Ke actor was an engineering student and not an average one. However, Sushant quit engineering in the third year to pursue his acting dreams. The actor’s love for science has not died down because we often seen him posting pictures that speak volumes about his obsession with the subject that he’d have otherwise graduated in.
The actor would be a perfect fit to not just play a man in uniform, he’d also do a great job being an army chief. Considering the actor’s penchant for fitness and extreme training he’d clear the military tests with flying colours.
While he’s not acting or working out, we often see the actor channelise the musician in him. If you don’t believe us, here take a look…
