International Women’s Day: Vidya Balan’s post is inspired by this weed smoking woman
Vidya Balan is one of the few actors who know the power of words. She is impeccable when it comes to acting, but she is equally powerful at conversations. Over the years, she has carved a niche for herself by playing strong women protagonists in all her films. She has been pushing the idea of woman-with-a-voice through revitalizing roles in Kahaani and No One Killed Jessica. She has garnered immense appreciation for her powerful performances in women-centric films and watching her on screen is always a treat. On International Women’s Day 2019, the actor extended her wish with an inspiring note for her fans.
Vidya put up a picture of a bare-body woman smoking weed. Through her caption, Vidya has urged all the women to accept themselves for how they are. The actor urged to let go of the negativity and ‘inner critic’ which says ‘I’m not good enough’. She asked us to let go of any judgement that makes us feel lesser and to begin to love ourselves. “It’s time to know that there’s no need to become the best version of yourself. You are the best you can be today...and 2mrw is another day,” read a part of her lengthy note. She signed off by saying that the picture inspired her to write the post.
