Giampaolo Tomassetti is a painter who’s been a member of the International Vedic Art Academy in Villa Vrindavan, Italy for about 7 years. But he’s no ordinary painter, he’s one with a huge fascination for Mahabharat. The Italian painter took five years to learn and understand the Mahabharat scriptures and then began painting the scenes of the story. It took Tomassetti all of 12 years to complete his paintings. Here’s a look at a few of them.
Meanwhile, Bollywood is planning its own version of Mahabharat and may see Aamir Khan cast in it. The project is reportedly a ten-year plan and will be spread across several films. According to reports, Khan will be wrapping up his shoot for Thugs of Hindostan before he dives into this massive project.
Aamir even plans to direct the series eventually. The first film of the series would be directed by Advait Chandan, who directed Secret Superstar for Aamir Khan Productions.
