Dharma Productions’ head honcho Karan Johar is on a roll and certainly one of the most tied up filmmakers in the B-town. It was only on Tuesday when he revealed the logo of the Brahmastra trilogy at Kumbh Mela 2019 at Prayagraj. On Wednesday, the filmmaker took to his Instagram and teased fans with a glimpse, rather a still, from his much-anticipated project - Kalank. In a very serene picture shared by KJo, we could see a traditionally decked man rowing a boat in a beautiful lotus-strewn lake. Kalank stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt.
The picture had a beautifully dressed-up woman seated at the front of a boat. We liked how the makers have tried to generate buzz by sharing a simple, yet beautiful, picture where both, the man and the woman had only their back in the frame. Kalank is set in the ’40s - that's what KJo reveal! Now, we are wondering who the actors in this picture are. From the first glance, it appears to be Madhuri Dixit and Aditya Roy Kapur. At least their body structure says so. Not only us, but this picture also got the entire internet thinking. Some feel that its Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, while others are saying that it can be Sonakshi Sinha. Uff! KJo has put us into a tizzy!

In his caption, the filmmaker revealed that 15 years ago, the idea of Kalank came into his heart and mind. His late father Yash Johar was involved in the ideation process. He called it his ‘dream project’ and how it was his father’s wish to see this film come through before he left forever. Thursday marks the beginning of the promotional journey of this Abhishek Varman directorial and we can’t wait to witness the magic.Read More
