Kalank teaser: Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit invite memes

A teaser is launched, so memes have to follow, right? It an unwritten norm now that as soon as a trailer or a teaser of a Bollywood film is out, trolls get to work and memes on dialogues and scenes from the film are delivered. This year, the trailer of Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, Gully Boy and Badla invited a ton of memes on the social media and now, it's Kalank's turn.  The teaser of the Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer Kalank was launched on Tuesday and is soaking in the accolades.

While audiences can’t stop praising Kalank's teaser, the dialogues have become a butt of jokes. There are only two dialogues in the teaser, one in which Varun says, “Kuch rishte karzoon ki tarah hote hai, unhe nibhana nahi chukana padta hai” and another one in which Alia says, “Jab kisi aur ki barbaadi apni jeet jaisi lage, toh humse zyada barbaad aur koi nahi iss duniya mein.” Significantly powerful and well-delivered dialogues but Twitter is having its fun. A user picked the Kalank line and took a dig at Salman Khan and his brother!

Reservations in schools and colleges have always been a hot topic of debate and Alia’s dialogue ‘humse zyada barbaad aur koi nahi iss duniya mein’ is surely something every student in the general quota will relate to.

We all know that Karan’s Johar’s Koffee With Karan is one of the most controversial shows as celebs spill the beans on their personal life of the show. Remember KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya? So, a Twitter user has connected Alia’s dialogue to KWK.

We're super excited for Kalank and one of the main reasons is to see Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt on the big screen together after two decades. Reportedly, the two were dating each other in the 90s but broke up when Dutt was imprisoned. The Kalank teaser has a scene in which both Madhuri and Sanjay share screen space and it, obviously, became a meme.

A ton of memes are generated around engineering students and how could they be left behind when a film has a dialogue that fits their life perfectly. LOL!

While these memes are funny, the teaser indicates that Kalank will be an intense love story and we simply can’t wait for it to the hit screens. Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank is slated to release on April 17, 2019. The movie was earlier set to release on April 19, 2019, but it has been rescheduled to April 17 in an attempt to cash in on two extra days. But there's another big reason too. The hugely awaited Avengers: Endgame hits the big screen on April 26, 2019, and that would have given Kalank just one week of exclusivity in theatres. Now, with Kalank's release date brought forward, the film will enjoy at least nine days without competition. These nine days, however, will be crucial for the film.
