Kangana Ranaut starrer and directorial Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi has been in news from the past few days for a whole lot of reasons. Ever since it's release on January 25, co-director Krish has been upset with Kangana’s name rolling before his name in the credits. He's talked to multiple media houses in the last few days to express his displeasure about the goings-on. Kangana has kept mum for the whole of last week as she was away holidaying in the Swiss Alps. Her sister Rangoli Chandal has been doing all the talking so far but the Queen actress returned to the city on Friday and lashed out at Krish and a whole lot of others who dared to raise their voice against her and the film.
Speaking exclusively to the National Reporter who quizzed her about her side of the story and what she had to say in reply to Krish's allegations, she said, “It’s not like that, he has been given the credit in the film and about his name, that he should talk to the producer and not attack me.” Talking about Krish claiming that she has not shot 70 percent of the film, the actress said, “That’s wrong. If he can, he should prove it.”
She went on to add, “See now Manikarnika has been made, fortunately, or unfortunately, I have directed it. I have taken all the final decisions, so I just want to make one thing clear that this film has been released in theatres and now nothing can happen. People are saying my role is cut, so I just want to tell them one thing that whatever I have achieved it’s on my own, my father has not given it to me. I also started with 5 minute roles. In many films, my role was cut and in many films, at the last moment, I was thrown out. So, this power of mine, I deserve it, I have earned it. It is my prerogative as a director to decide which actor I want to utilise. I will once again direct a film and that will be better than Manikarnika.”
She wasn't done! “I have a suggestion for Krish. Take all these people and make a film. Take Sonu Sood as a villain and take her (Mishti) as the heroine and make Apurva Asrani (writer of Simran with whom she had a dispute due to the credits in the film) write the story and make a film to teach me a lesson,” she added.
Kangana is in no mood to go down without a fight. This reaction comes after Krish accused her of directing not 70 percent of the film, but just small bits. He also said that the actress was insecure of other actors getting more screen time. Actress Mishti, who is also a part of the film, gave interviews stating that she feels cheated as her role was cut from the movie.
