As Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi enters its second week at the box office, actor and newly turned director Kangana Ranaut is even more vocal about the fallouts and disappointments. The film is fueling controversies ever since its inception. For anyone who remembers, filmmaker Ketan Mehta had accused Kangana of robbing his research (of a film on the same subject he was planning to direct) and committing the film to someone else. The original director of the film Krish too was mighty mad at getting only a second mention in the credits.
Amid debates revolving around credits and acclamations, Kangana isn't sparing anyone, though. In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, she said Krish was trying to 'damage' the film. "Personally, for me, this project is too special. I feel these people are just trying to damage the film. It's clear, you know. There is absolutely no love for the film. It's just like, If it's not ours, let's just destroy it'. It's just that attitude," she said.

At the same time, she doesn't sound pleased by her colleagues from Bollywood since there is no reciprocation of appreciation that she shows to them. “These girls send me their trailers; like Alia sent me the trailer of Raazi and said, ‘Please watch it’. For me, it was not a Karan Johar film or Alia film, for me, it was a film on Sehmat Khan, the girl who has given her everything to the country,” she said, adding that she used to cancel her own shoots to attend other people's screenings, something she has stopped now.
She also claimed she didn't hear back from Aamir Khan either. "When Aamir called me for Dangal, Secret Superstar, I went all the way to Ambani's house. Dangal, for me, was a film about women empowerment. But they don't have time for any of my trailers," said Kangana.
Earlier in an interview, Krish had complained of his name coming second as the director. He also said the makers used his full name which the audience isn't familiar with. Kangana dismissed the claim, saying it was purely the producers' call and not hers.Read More
