You already know that Alia Bhatt is one of Karan Johar's favourites, if not the most favourite! Her big step-in to Bollywood with Student Of The Year happened under Karan's guidance and the association continued with many more films. But it's not just that. Karan and Alia's connection goes deeper on a personal level where they are like family to each other, with the young actress being extremely close to Karan's children as well. This certainly has various interpretations. Very recently, another actor Kangana Ranaut lashed out at the B-town brigade during which she referred to Alia as KJO's 'puppet'.
Alia, although she's young, sure knows how to tackle situations. In a recent conversation with the press, she reacted to it sans any signs of anger. She said she was ready to apologise to Kangana if the latter was upset. Let us also remind you that Kangana had irked a huge debate surrounding nepotism, right from the couch of Koffee With Karan and accused Karan of indulging in it more than often. We were curious as to how Karan would react to Kangana's comments. In a recent conversation with Elle, he did talk about Alia, but without taking any reference of Kangana.

"Sometimes, it takes a product of nepotism to smash the stereotype to pieces. That’s why I love Alia Bhatt. She gives me hope that everyone will be loved or hated based on their skills and not their DNA, and proves that privilege is just a word or a wasted opportunity, if it’s not accompanied by the kind of talent and hard work she brings to her craft. Alia is not a keyboard warrior, not the biggest fashion icon either, nor a sex symbol or a method actor, or a director’s actor. But she is one of the finest talents of her generation and that’s probably because she never lets herself get caught up with labels. Gen Z has so much hope," she said.
That says everything!
