Akshay Kumar's Kesari tells us the glorious account of the Battle of Saragarhi fought between the braveheart Sikhs and the Afghans who invaded our land. Akshay, who is on a roll with his patriotic films, is believed to deliver a powerful performance this time as well. With a little over one month to go for the release, the makers have decided to give us glimpses of the mood and flavour of the film through brief videos.
After the first and the second video, here's the third glimpse of Kesari that tells of how a group of mere 21 sikh armymen fought as many as 10,000 invaders. In what can safely be called an unmatched show of bravery, Akshay is seen firing a gun in a great rage. Although a short one, the video is enough to tell us what a show of courage the Sikh regiment had put up, in the face of adversity.
Akshay, in the period war drama, plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who led the battle. Historically, Ishar Singh happened to be the first Sikh to have received the Victoria Cross, the highest honour in British honour system, presented for gallantry in presence of the enemy.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra and is set to release on 21st March, 2018.
