Mahira Khan has finally broken her silence over her pictures with Ranbir Kapoor in New York that had gone viral. Khan was attending the launch of her film Verna in Pakistan recently when the Raees actress was asked about the pictures. A video of which is now doing the rounds on the world wide web.
When asked about the date Mahira said, "What should I comment about it? It's a personal thing and we have learnt from it. I am a very careful person otherwise. I think it's very normal for a girl and a guy to hang out. Like I said, we all have learnt from it and we have understood that the media is now everywhere."
Khan had been trolled continuously for smoking in public by her fans back in Pakistan, to which she had responded in a polite statement. "Through the times of turbulence, through the joys, through the ups and downs, through the mistakes we make and all the success we get, let nobody… nobody’s opinion define who you are, And if anybody defines who you are, let it be yourself. Because including me and all the women out there, we’re all worth it," it read.
Ranbir Kapoor too had issued a statement after the pictures went public. Kapoor was in New York shooting for the Sanjay Dutt biopic when he met up with the Raees leading lady at a local club. It's there that the two were clicked.
"I've gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is. It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also said is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman. I request you to stop the negativity and move on with your beautiful god gifted lives. Peace and Love," he said.
