The makers of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, are walking to the moon to build steady publicity for the film. Ahead of its trailer release, the makers are disclosing the first look of the star cast, each day. Today on December 15, we are being introduced to the character of Ghulam Ghaus Khan that is represented by Danny Denzongpa. Fondly called as ‘Ghaus Baba’, he was a Senapati to Rani Lakshmibai. He was not only the main cannon fighter in her army but also a father figure and an advisor to the queen. In his first look, Danny is looking all sorts of fierce whilst riding a horse amidst chaos in the background.
In an interview to DNA, the producer of the film, Kamal Jain, said, “Danny was our first choice for the part of Ghaus Khan. We didn’t even need to approach anyone else. He suits the character perfectly and has given a fabulous performance.” We must say, this look takes us back to Denzongpa's performance in the critically acclaimed Khuda Gawah. Performing opposite the Sridevi and Amitabh Bachchan, Danny still manages to look ever so perfect for any role.
Earlier, we were introduced to Ankita Lokhande’s character Jhalkaribai, a soldier in the women's army of Rani Lakshmibai. Post that, the makers revealed another character of the film, Maharaja Gangadhar Rao, Rani Lakshmibai’s husband. The trailer of Kangana Ranaut’s much-awaited film is all set to release on December 18.
