Kangana Ranaut’s latest outing, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is doing fairly well at the box office. In the past five days, the movie has earned Rs 49 crore at the ticket window. While good business is great news for Team Kangana, the historical drama in embroiled in controversy. The actress' sister Rangoli made few conversations between Krish and Kangana public on Twitter and Krish is having none of it. On Wednesday Krish too used Twitter to hit back at Rangoli and shared a few screenshots of a conversation affirming that he has shot 85% of the film.
It all began after the release of the film and the credits indicated that Kangana was the primary director of the film, with Krish's name being mentioned below hers. Ever since the release, Krish has been speaking to multiple media houses and emphasising that he has indeed worked on most of the film and not received due credit. From Rangoli's tweet stating 'Let her enjoy her success', to her posting screenshots of exchanged messages to Krish's reply, this row is getting messier by the day.
In his interviews, Krish indicated that Kangana was rude, failed to use his industry name in the credits of the film and added she tried to convince him that Zee Studios did not like his work. "Kangana even told me that Zee Studios hadn't liked what I had made. It was looking like a Bhojpuri film. I laughed. People know my previous work. We argued but she wanted her own way. I just couldn't understand," he earlier told to an entertainment portal.
Even as the movie enjoys it's run in theatres, we're sure this isn't the last we've heard of this off-screen battle.
