Masaba Gupta and Madhu Mantena file for divorce post trial separation
Post trial separation, Masaba Gupta and Madhu Mantena file for a divorce
Well-known fashion designer Masaba Gupta and husband Madhu Mantena announced their trial separation last year in August. Unfortunately, the couple has finally decided to call it quits. After the trial session of almost seven months, a source close to the two has revealed that the celeb couple has now filed for divorce. The couple had got married in 2015. "After much thought and consideration, we have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. We have decided to move forward separately and get divorced. We are two individuals who respect and care for each other and have made our own choices. We would appreciate if we are given our privacy at this time," read a joint statement from the couple.
Masaba, the daughter of veteran actress Neena Gupta and former West Indies batsman Vivian Richards, married Mantena on June 2, 2015. The couple announced their separation in August 2018 and decided to separate for a while. "Both of us have taken this decision after consulting professionals and our parents. The only thing we are ready to say right now is, 'what we both want out of life individually and separately is putting unnecessary pressure on the marriage and the love that we share. Hence we would take time off from each other and our marriage to figure out for ourselves what we want out of this life'," the duo had said at that point.

In 2018, when Masaba Gupta posted the joint statement on social media, reports started doing rounds that the couple separated due to Madhu Mantena’s infidelity. Well, Masaba addressed these false reports by posting a screengrab of a text that had been sent to Madhu Mantena by a journo. The message read, “Dear Madhu, sorry to bother. Sir, we hear that infidelity was the reason why you and Masaba went for a trial separation, apparently she discovered you had cheated on her.” Masaba posted with the screenshot, “Going to address this because of the infidelity bit attached. Or maybe I will address more as it comes, given that I won’t tolerate a single thing being said about Madhu’s character. Not true.”Read More
