All rumours and speculations around the casting for mathematician Anand Kumar's role in Super30 is finally over. It is now confirmed that Hrithik Roshan has signed on the dotted line. The story of this Patna- based mathematician who trains 30 economically backward yet deserving students for the entrance exams of IIT each year will be directed by Vikas Bahl.
It was earlier reported that the fallout between the best friends and producers Priti Sinha and Madhu Mantena was due to a tiff over their respective favourites Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan, both of whom were keen on taking the responsibility of playing the role of Anand Kumar.
It was also said that Anurag Kashayp initially approached Anand Kumar with the idea of his biopic but abandoned the project without an explanation. Then, it was only last month that a photograph surfaced on the internet of Hrithik Roshan discussing the ‘nitty-gritties of the film’ along with Vikas Bahl and Anand Kumar himself. However, Hrithik Roshan might not need to go through a rigorous training in sword fighting like Shahid Kapoor or take a special course at NASA like Sushant Singh Rajput but he would have to train hard to get that heavy Patna accent to authenticate his role of the genius. In the past we have seen stars like Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Ranveer Singh and even the Khans practice hard to get a grip on it and mind you, some have failed miserably.
Not only this, the glamorous actor will even have to shed those greek – god like looks to step into the shoes of the small-town mathematician. It sounds like a lot of work but Roshan has hardly shied away from that. Now only if he can keep away from controversies and let his work do the talking, things might turn out better than they have been recently.
