Meghna Gulzar's earlier directorial venture Talvar became a highly acclaimed film. Revolving around the infamous Aarushi Talwar case or the Noida double murder case, it had the top-notch thrill and power-packed performance. He earlier has been the Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police and the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime.
“I am happy to re-live the journey, especially when piloted by a brilliant and sensitive director like Meghna Gulzar, and a production house of the calibre of Reliance Entertainment’s Phantom Films. Interestingly, Maria was also handling the Sheena Boran murder case. For reasons unknown, he was pulled off as the CP.
