We are not yet over Gully Boy's Apna Time Aayega. The energy, determination and enthusiasm that if offered is not frequently found. Add to it the fact that Ranveer Singh is leaving no opportunity to show his rapping skill to perfection. While Apna Time Aayega tops everyone's playlist, another winner from Gully Boy is already here. On Tuesday, the makers released Mere Gully Mein featuring a charged up Ranveer Singh and an energised Siddhant Chaturvedi. The track truly captures the essence of the film.
Mere Gully Mein was originally a creation of rappers Naezy, Divine and Delhi-based hip hop producer Sajeel Kapoor aka Sez. The lyrics and the beat have been kept intact while Ranveer Singh has lent his voice for the recreated version. Picturised across a Mumbai slum, the 2 minute and 56 seconds long song explores a rhythm of life not many of us have experienced. It not only is a reminder of the numerous talents lost across lanes of the dream city but will also tell you that the spirit of living isn't always derived from materialistic pleasure.
In less than an hour, the song managed to grab over 2 lakh views. It clearly is on its way to be a rage on the internet through the day. Quite natural, given that the buzz around Gully Boy is increasing with every passing day. Naezy, who was rumouredly in the rehab, was also recently seen striking a pose with Ranveer.
