One of the glitziest nights of the year, Oscars 2019 took place on Monday. The night saw many Hollywood legends taking home the coveted golden statuette. The winners' list also included the internationally reputed make-up artist Greg Cannom for transforming Christian Bale into former Vice President Dick Cheney in Vice. If you are aware, Greg is also the man behind Rishi Kapoor’s striking transformation as the Kapoor patriarch in Kapoor & Sons, released in 2016. Soon after the award was announced, elated Rishi took to Twitter to share his joy.
The 66-year-old shared two BTS images from Kapoor & Sons which show Greg working on his love. “You did Kapoor & Sons with me. Bravo!” he captioned his first tweet. In his second tweet, he put up a picture of his final look as Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan’s dadu in the film and informed fans that the transformation took as long as 5 hours daily. He signed off saying, “Cheers, Greg Cannom, from all of us. You are a genius!"
Rishi’s wife Neetu Kapoor also posted two of the images on her Instagram to congratulate the artist.
