B R Chopra’s 1978 film Pati Patni Aur Woh is all set to be back to our screens. Director Mudassar Aziz has donned the director’s hat for the film and guess who will star as the leads? The film, which starred Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta in the original one, will now see Kartik Aaryan with Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar in the revamped version. This will also mark the first time the three will be sharing screen space.
Announcing the big news, the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor took to Instagram on Saturday and treated us with two pictures. In one, the entire cast of the film is seen striking a pose while another seems like a poster. Kartik is seen holding Ananya, who’s standing towards his right and the former is gazing lovingly into Bhumi’s eyes who stands towards his left. Doesn’t this remind you of something? This is exactly like the poster of the 1998 blockbuster Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kajol. Have a look.

Reports state that the film’s core narrative will remain the same as the original film, but ‘some changes will be made in the script to make it more contemporary and topical.’ It will be jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar (of T-Series), Abhay Chopra and Juno Chopra (of BR Studios) and is set to go on floors in February 2019.
