Pati Patni Aur Woh makers reply to Taapsee Pannu’s allegations
Taapsee Pannu has stated that she has been dropped from Pati Patni Aur Woh remake without being informed.
On Thursday morning, we all woke up to the news of Taapsee Pannu being dropped from the remake of Pati, Patni Aur Woh at the last moment. The actress while talking to Mumbai Mumbai mirror alleged that the makers didn’t even inform her about the changes and she found it out from others. She also went on to say that she deserves an answer from the makers and this has been disheartening for her. Well now, the producers of the film Bhushan Kumar and Juno Chopra have given a reply to Taapsee’s allegations.
A joint statement from Kumar and Chopra reads, “When a script is locked, every director or producer approaches actors for the casting of the film, it is a basic protocol followed by almost all filmmakers. Similarly, for our upcoming project – Pati Patni Aur Woh, we reached out to many actors, who we thought could be our potential protagonists in the film. The versatile actress Taapsee Pannu was one of the many actresses we had approached for one of the leading ladies in the film. However, we as producers have never made any commitment to her. We would like to clarify that our casting was purely done on the basis of who suited the characters to the tee. Tapasee is an extremely talented actress and we would love to work with her in future. We will soon make the official announcement for the final cast of Pati Patni Aur Woh.”

We wonder what Taapsee has to say about this as the producers claim that they had not made any commitment to her. The original Pati Patni Aur Woh starred Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta in the lead roles. Reportedly, Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Pandey have been roped in for the remake. However, there’s no official announcement about it.Read More
