The entire nation is in grief and anger over the terrifying Pulwana terror attack that killed over 40 CRPF paramilitary troopers. Well-known personalities from across the country condemned the attack and expressed their devastation. Right from politicians to actors, industrialists and sports personalities, many have taken to their social media accounts and mourned the tragedy. While the loss that has incurred to the near ones of all the martyred soldiers is irreparable, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and former cricketer Virender Sehwag have offered to do their part.
In an interview to Zoom, a source close to Big B has revealed that the actor is trying to get in touch with the families of all of the martyred CRPF jawans, in order to provide them with financial aid. The amount in question is Rs. 5 lakhs that shall be given to the families of each of the 40 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The spokesperson said, “Yes, Mr Bachchan will be giving Rs 5 Lakhs to each of the martyr’s families and is currently finding out the correct process to do so.”
Apart from Big B, Virender Sehwag has also offered to bear the educational expenses of children of all the soldiers who lost their lives in the Pulwama terrorist attacks. The former cricketer took to his social media and shared a compilation of all the martyred soldiers. In his caption, Sehwag wrote that he will take complete care of children of all the brave CRPF martyrs and offered the education aid in his – Sehwag International School.
Indian boxer Vijender Singh, too, has donated his one month’s income. The Olympic medalist took to his Twitter account and further urged all the citizens to come forward and help.
The horrific attack took place in Kashmir’s Pulwama district on February 14, 2019, after a suicide bomber belonging to a terrorist organisation named Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) drove an explosive-laden SUV into a bus packed with soldiers.
