The saying ‘Desh se badhkar kuch nahi,’ is clearly not limited to Bollywood films. While the entire country is filled up with rage and sorrow over the devastating Pulwama terror attacks that killed more than 40 army men, fans of Bollywood actor Salman Khan are leaving no stone unturned to express their disappointment over his upcoming film. After a Pakistan-based terrorist organisation named Jaish-e-Mohammad claimed responsibility for the heinous blast, the not-so-good relationship between India and Pakistan has only worsened.
As a retaliation to the attack, Bhai's fans are demanding the makers of Bharat to drop all songs that have been sung by Pakistani artists - Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. While some have requested Ali Abbas Zafar, Atul Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar to revoke their decision, many have vowed to boycott the film if the makers don’t accept their demand. “I won’t watch Bharat if Salman Khan continues to work with Pakistani... Nation first,” said one fan. Salman Khan aficionados, who otherwise celebrate his films like a festival, have reached a decision as stern as this. Given that film is in its final stages of shooting, we wonder what the Dabangg star has to say on this. Will he accept his fans’ demand?
Also, we have learned that T-Series, who happens to one of Bharat's producer, has taken down all the Pakistani songs from their YouTube channel. So, there's a huge possibility of the same happening for Salman Khan's Bharat, hopefully.
Meanwhile, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs of India, Kiren Rijiju has revealed that Salman Khan has contributed to the Pulwama martyrs through his Being Human Foundation.
