The devastating attacks in Kashmir’s Pulwama district has rendered the entire nation numb. Many celebrities have come out in the open to express their anger and disgust over the ghastly incident. Among all, includes Bollywood’s controversial queen Kangana Ranaut, who recently grabbed headlines for calling Shabana Azmi ‘anti-national’. Now, her latest statement comes with a special request to PM Narendra Modi, regarding Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking on the attack, the actor also asked the Prime Minister to take a concrete step.
In an interaction with the National Reporter, Kangana urged PM Modi to scrap Article 370, which gives autonomous status to J&K. “Our anger is justified. We should use this time to do something constructive. And it is my sincere request to our prime minister that Article 370 should be completely scrapped. I feel that after so many years of Independence, no state in our country should face confusion as to where they belong.”
When asked to comment on Bollywood boycotting Pakistani artists, she expressed that the action is completely justified. "People in Pakistan love our films and love us but somewhere we need to draw the line. There is a religion for everything, war also has its own religion. In this, we are with our country. And the people of Pakistan should be inspired. They are with their country and we are with ours. There are no two ways about it. We are with our soldiers, our government and our soil.”
She further added, "There should be no conflict. If families of the soldiers are hurt then why should we entertain Pakistani artists? Emotions of the families are most important right now."
Talking about the terror attack, more than 40 CRPF jawans lost their lives by a Pakistani terrorist organisation called Jaish-e-Mohammed.
