The horrifying day of Pulwama attack still haunts us. The nation, including the entire film fraternity, has expressed their anger and disgust over the inhumane act. After Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, among others, actor Saif Ali Khan is the latest celebrity to pay his respect to the martyred soldiers. We have got our hands on a picture of the Sacred Games star bowing in front of the Amar Jawan Jyoti, in Delhi.
Saif is reportedly on a vacation in the capital at Sharmila Tagore’s Pataudi Palace along with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their little Taimur Ali Khan. The picture, posted by one of his fan clubs, sees him donning his signature plain white kurta-pyjama set while paying homage to the murdered soldiers. A note along with the picture seems to be a statement released by him. It reads that he is ‘deeply upset and saddened by what has happened.’
On the other hand, several A-listers like Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Ronnie Screwvala have donated money for the welfare of the families. In a strong move, All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has banned Pakistani artistes from working in the Indian film industry.
“We’re officially announcing a total ban on Pakistani actors and artists working in film industry. Still, if any organisation insist on working with Pakistani artists will be banned by AICWA and strong action will be taken against them. The nation comes first, we stand with our nation,” reads the association’s statement.
