On February 14, 2019, when the whole country was celebrating the day of love, Valentine’s Day, a terrorist attack took place in Pulwama, Kashmir, which left the nation shocked. From Bollywood celebs to politicians to sports personalities, everyone took to social media to show their displeasure against the attack. There’s a feeling of sadness as we have lost more than 40 CRPF soldiers in the attack. With sadness, there's anger. While All India Cine Workers Association (AICW) has decided to ban Pakistani artists from working in India, the makers of the upcoming film Total Dhamaal have decided that their movie won’t release in the neighbouring country.
Total Dhamaal stars Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jafferi and Esha Gupta. The movie, which is directed by Indra Kumar, is slated to release on February 22, 2019. Ajay Devgn, who is also one of the producers of the film, took to Twitter to inform his fans that due to the current situation the team of the film has decided to release it in Pakistan. The decision of the makers is being lauded by Twitterati.
We wonder if the makers of the other upcoming movies too will take this decision of not releasing their movie in Pakistan. Let’s wait and watch.
