R Madhavan is all set to star in the biopic of Nambi Narayanan, a controversial ISRO rocket scientist. Speaking to TOI about this project Madhavan said that he was taking advice from Aamir Khan for his character in the film.
“The prep is taking me through different age groups, shapes and sizes. I have to put on weight to play the character in his older days, and I consulted Aamir for tips. He told me it’s better to do the heavier parts first so that I’m compelled to lose all the weight I put on. I am packing on the pounds religiously for my upcoming film, it’s probably the most exciting project of my life,” he told TOI.
According to reports, Madhavan said that his character’s story will be shown in three stages based on the Narayanan’s age. As advised by Aamir, the actor will play the older and heavier parts first. Reports mention that Mohanlal was approached for the film but couldn’t sign it due to date issues.
The TOI report also stated that the film will be a released in Tamil, Hindi and English. Rocket scientist, Nambi Narayanan, was stuck in controversy after being accused of espionage. In 1994, he was arrested on charges of leaking out information from ISRO. However, CBI dropped all the charges against him and he was acquitted by the Supreme court. On the work front, R Madhavan is currently shooting for Savyasachi, a Telugu film directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The film also features Naga Chaitanya and Nidhhi Agerwal. Madhavan’s last film, Vikram Vedha, which released earlier this year performed well at the box office.
