Race 3: Check out the first look of Salman Khan as the ‘selfless’ Sikander
The first poster of the upcoming high-octane action thriller Race 3 featuring Salman Khan is out now, and the superstar is back in his trademark swag with a crisp black shirt, striped trousers and a gun in hand. Salman took to social media to introduce us to this new character Sikander, who happens to be selfless over selfish.
Salman is reportedly playing a grey character for the first time in the movie which is his first venture in the successful franchise. Helmed by Remo D'Souza, Race 3, the third instalment of the franchise also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah in pivotal roles.
Abbas-Mustan directed the first two editions of the Race franchise. Shot in Bangkok and Mumbai along with Abu Dhabi, the third instalment of the Race franchise is produced by Salman Khan Films and Ramesh S Taurani under the banner of Tips Films. It is set to hit the big screens on June 15 this year during Eid.
The film's 35-day shoot schedule in six prime locations across Abu Dhabi has already begun. These locations include the luxurious Emirates Palace, the distinct Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi, the St Regis Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec), Emirates Steel and the Liwa Desert.
Reportedly, the film's stunt director Tom Struthers will work with the UAE Armed Forces to nail some perfect action sequences. The UAE military support will include providing a Blackhawk helicopter, Oshkosh trucks, NIMR military vehicles, and Humvees. Speaking of shooting again in Abu Dhabi, Salman was quoted by a website saying, "It is wonderful to be back in Abu Dhabi, which is such an incredible filming location. Last year, we spent much of our 70-day shoot for Tiger Zinda Hai on the city’s incredible backlot, so it will be exciting to explore more of the Emirate with Race 3 as we shoot across six locations."
