With a successful franchise like Race and a trump card like Salman Khan, producer Ramesh Taurani knows exactly how to sell this third installment to churn a profit. Khan, who is also co-producing Race 3, will be seen for the first time in this franchise along with Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. Reportedly, the action thriller is eyeing a whopping Rs 150 crore for the film's satellite rights.
"Salman Khan's last outing Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) had earned around Rs 70 crore from the satellite rights, which was said to be the highest price paid for a Bollywood film. With the actor joining the cast of Race 3, Taurani and he are looking at doubling the figure. After a few talks, the duo has decided that they will offer the airing rights at Rs 150 crore," a source was quoted in a report published by Mid-Day.
Apparently, a leading channel has already offered Rs 75 crore, but the producers are not ready to reduce the price as Salman will be taking a percentage of the film's profit and the earnings from the satellite rights.Over the last one week, Salman Khan has shared the first look of all the characters in the film and it sure looks promising.
In other news surrounding the film, Jacqueline Fernandez recently had a minor accident on the sets of Race 3. The actress reportedly injured herself during filming in Abu Dhabi and was rushed to a hospital for immediate treatment.
