Radhika Apte is known for playing incredibly self-aware and powerful characters in reel life. But it seems she sports a similar persona in real life too. She recently appeared on Neha Dhupia's talk show Vogue BFFs, where the Phobia actress revealed that she once slapped a co-star for misbehaving with her on set.
She said that while working on a Tamil film, she was taken aback when a prominent south actor tickled her feet. It was the first time they had met and Apte instantly reacted to his behaviour. He slapped the actor for crossing the line. “It was my first day on the set and a famous south actor started to tickle my feet. I was stunned as we’d never met before and I instinctively slapped him,” she said.
On a related note, Radhika was recently trolled for sharing a picture on Instagram, where she was sporting a bikini. However, the actor chose not to respond to the criticism.
Apte was last seen opposite Akshay Kumar in R Balki’s Padman. The film was about the lack of menstrual hygiene in rural India. She will be next seen in Gauravv K Chawla's Bazaar featuring Saif Ali Khan in a leading role. Moreover, actress Chitrangda Singh is also making a comeback with the film. Besides this corporate thriller, she will also be seen in a short film by Anurag Kashyap.
According to a Hindustan Times report, Radhika is also gearing up for her web series debut with Netflix India’s Sacred Games, which is the first Indian Netflix original and is based on Vikram Chandra’s book by the same title. It is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap and features Saif Ali Khan in the lead. She also has 'Bhavesh Joshi' and a Hollywood flick titled ‘The Ashram’ in her kitty.
