Rani Mukerji may have made her debut with dramas like Raja Ki Ayegi Baaraat and Mehendi, but she rose to prominence as Khandala girl opposite Aamir Khan, in the movie Ghulam. However, while Rani was shy and awkward like any newbie would be, Aamir was already a star by then. And like all of us, Rani was a huge fan of the superstar. However, Rani had already met Aamir before that, but that was quite a fan moment that left her with slightly sour memories. Rani revealed it all in Take 2 with Anupama Chopra and Rajeev Masand.

Ouch, that must have hurt. Who knew that this awkward fan would go on to become Aamir Khan's leading lady, and known for her smile and as a Khandala girl thereafter. How life plays around. The two, later on, shared screen space in a couple of movies. Rani was a part of a special number in Aamir Khan's Mann, and his leading lady in both Mangal Pandey: The Rising and Talaash: The Answer Lies Within.
Rani recently made her comeback with Hichki, which went on to be a critical and commercial hit. The movie also earned her the award for Best Actress at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2018. We can't wait to watch her back in action in her upcoming projects.
