Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is currently on a high post the successful release of his much awaited film Padmaavat. While he’s soaring on the response of the film and his character, Ranveer as a director will not attempt a film like Padmaavat. Ranveer said that it takes a lot of courage to direct a film of such magnitude. In a question and answer session for fans on Tuesday, a fan asked him if he would write or direct a historical film like 'Padmaavat', which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
'Padmaavat' also features other Bollywood actors such as Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari and Jim Sarbh.
Ranveer was asked about his experience on working with Jim Sarbh, to which he replied that he’s a special talent and has a great vibe sense of humour and is intelligent. Ranveer went on to shower more praises on Jim and called him the perfect co-actor who is chilled out and exciting to collaborate with.
When asked on how challenging it was to put up such a strong performance, Ranveer replied "I always relish a challenge. I’m happy with it. I learned a lot during the shooting process. And growing and developing in my craft is important to me. So, yes, I’m happy that I had this experience." Ranveer has been widely appreciated for his superb performance of the Sultan of Delhi, Alauddin Khilji in Bhansali’s magnum opus.
Ranveer’s next film is Gully Boy which is being directed by Zoya Akhtar. Speaking about the film Ranveer said, "It's a journey of a youth who hails from a disenfranchised lot of society. It's a story very dear to my heart. Hope I can do my bit for the amazing new musical talent that we have in the country".
Fans cannot wait to see Ranveer add another feather to his cap as a rapper in Gully Boy.
