Sad news for Sweety fans! Anushka Shetty turns down Bollywood debut with Karan Johar
The much speculated Bollywood debut of Bahubali actress Anushka Shetty might be postponed. Devsena has now reportedly opted out of a project with filmmaker Karan Johar. According to media reports, KJo wanted to cast Anushka in one of his projects, however, she did not like the role offered to her. This, however, isn't the first Bollywood film that the Size Zero star has rejected. She reportedly also said no to movies like Ranbir Kapoor's Tamasha, Ajay Devgn's Singham and the Golmaal series.
But while the actress seems to be unimpressed with the scripts being offered to her, sources say that it's the money that's keeping the Bahubali star away. Reports say that Anushka seems to have consulted Prabhas after the offer was made. Prabhas to had rejected a Kjo film in the past. Dharma wouldn't agree with his asking price of Rs 20 crore. Karan Johar was the one who presented the Hindi dubbed version of both the films under Baahubali franchise but that clearly hasn't changed the decision for Bahubali and Devsena.
Anushka and Prabhas have always maintained an extremely close friendship. They were paired for the first time in 2009 Telugu blockbuster Billa which was a remake of Shahrukh Khan’s Don. However, in past, the actors have vehemently denied any romantic relationship.
Currently, Anushka Shetty is busy with G Ashok's modern-day thriller Bhaagamathie which releases on 25th of January, 2018.
