Sara Ali Khan is being showered with praise from all corners after the release of her debut flick - Kedarnath. And why not? With her flamboyant screen presence and remarkable determination, Sara actually tells us that she could be the next prominent actor in Bollywood! Not just B-townies, but the audience can't stop gushing over her performance either. But one would be naive to think that it came easy. The starlet's stunning appearance wasn't accomplished in a day. She put in efforts and sweated it out to be her fit and fab self.
“I was 96 kg at the time when I told my mother, sitting on the bed crying and saying, ‘Mom, all I want to do is become an actor.’ Then, she said that you need to lose weight. And, it took me about a year-and-half to lose that weight. So, I completed the remaining two years of my graduation in a year so that I can return and start working early. I was always a chubby girl, but after going to the States, for the first two years, I put on a lot of weight and then last year, I burned all those kilos there itself," the actor told Spotboye.

Looking back at all those moments in Kedarnath; looking forward to watching them all come together 👀 #2daystoKedarnath #cannotwait #jaibholenath #comewatch #almostthere
Sara ABut do you know what happened next? Her mother Amrita Singh failed to recognise her daughter! September was the start of the semester and December was the end. In those 4 months, I even refrained from face-timing her. And, she recognised me at the airport only because of my suitcases; I was looking completely different. Obviously, 30 kg down, you ARE going to look different," Sara added, saying that didn't even video-chat with her mother throughout that period.
That's an astounding transformation indeed! Sara will be next seen in Rohit Shetty's big-budget film Simmba opposite, none other than, Ranveer Singh. The trailer tells us that it is going to be an out and out commercial entertainer. Hope Sara doesn't disappoint us there.
