Madame Tussauds Delhi announced that the figure of Shah Rukh Khan will add to the star power at the museum. This will be the second figure of SRK that will be displayed in his signature hands spread pose, along with other celebs. The first Shah Rukh wax statute was launched in London in 2007. A second figure sculpted for the same actor, by the same house, signifies Shah Rukh’s popularity in the world.
Shah Rukh has a number of wax statues at several locations. Besides London and Delhi, the actor also has statues in Paris, Los Angeles, and Kolkata.
King Khan is also the first Bollywood star to have two wax statues in two of the most prestigious wax museums in the world – Madame Tussauds in London, and Paris's Grevin wax museum.
Besides SRK, actress Sunny Leone will also get her wax statue in India’s first Madame Tussauds museum which opened in Delhi last year. The museum is also planning to install about 10 to 13 new figures over the next few months. According to reports, out of the 50 wax statues at the museum, 60 percent are from India. Other popular celebrities in the museum are Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Madhubala, Ranbir Kapoor and Sonu Nigam.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is working on his upcoming film, Zero where he plays the role of a dwarf. He stars in the film alongside Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
